Simple Meal Plan to Lose Weight
Portion control and planning of the different meals makes this ‘lose weight’ program easier. Besides this, you also need to concentrate on the timing of your meals. This means, it is important to have all your meals timed out for the same time every day. Eating at erratic times can be a disaster for your weight loss program. To help you manage the different meals, we list out some tips.
- Breakfast:
As breakfast is considered to be one of the most important meals of the day, you need to ensure the consumption of high-proteins during this meal. This brings down the risk of fat accumulating in your body and keeps you full throughout the day. Try to time your breakfast between 6 AM to 10AM.
- Mid-morning snack:
This snack is not compulsory; you can have it only if you are hungry. This snack can be had after 2 to 4 hours after your breakfast as your body takes around 4 hours to digest any meal. With this snack your energy levels are at an all time high till lunch. You can choose to eat some fruits or probably a salad during this time for the required weight loss.
- Lunch:
Lunch needs to be had before 3PM. Having this meal on time definitely helps in weight loss. You can plan on a vegetable sandwich or choose a salad which contains chicken, cheddar, zuchhini. You need to ensure that your intake of calories during lunch should not cross 400.
- Afternoon Snack:
As mentioned above, there needs to be a gap of at least 2 to 4 hours between meals. This afternoon snack can be timed after two hours after you had your lunch. You have a choice of chewing on a handful of almonds or picking up any fruit only if you are hungry at this time.
- Dinner:
Dinner needs to be had before 7 PM as then your body has enough and more time to digest the food before you hit the bed. You can have curried vegetables and chicken or probably have a nutritious soup. This keeps you full and prevents from mid-night snacking.
You need to consume a variety of foods so that your body is not deprived of the essential nutrients. Cooking at home is safe and healthy as you are well aware of the different ingredients going in the food, plan out your meals in advance, so that you can have a whole-some meal and enjoy good health.
